Hot Curing Solid Epoxy System for current and potential transformers
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
PLiOGRIP EPOXY RESIN PER 5200TC is an unmodified solvent free, solid epoxy resin. It has a lower viscosity at the processing temperature of 120'C and gives a longer pot-life.
PLiOGRIP HARDENER PH 700, a white solid organic acid anhydride, is recommended for use with PLiOGRIP PER 5200TC resin. Being very reactive, it does not require the use of an accelerator.
APPLICATION:
Pliogrip Epoxy Resin PER 5200TC is used for casting, bushing, potting voltage transformers, high voltage current transformers (CTs & PTs), metal joints in electrical applications, impregnation and encapsulation of coils, dry type transformers. OLTC Boards, Busbar supports etc. The mouldings produced have exceptionally good electrical insulation properties for wide range of industrial applications and excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties.

MIXING TEMPERATURE AND PROCEDURE
PLiOGRIP EPOXY RESIN PER 5200TC is melted separately by heating at 110' -150'C.lt is then mixed with the required quantity of hot filler under a vacuum of 1-2 mm of Hg for 1-2 hours. The pre-weighted quantity of hardener.PLlOGRIP PH 700 is added into the mix at around 125' to 135' C and mixed thoroughly keeping the vacuum around 20 mm of Hg for 5-10 min.
