GENERAL DESCRIPTION
PLIOGRIP P-666 is a standard thixotropic gelcoat based on Isophthalic resin and it is suitable for hand applications. PLiOGRIP P-666 combines excellent flow and air release properties and yet has sufficient thixotropy to minimize sag on inclined surfaces
TYPICAL PROPERTIES OF PLiOGRIP P-666
Specific Gravity @ 25'C | 1.12 ± 0.02 |
Appearance | A white opaque thixotropic liquid |

(The specimens for testing are cured for 24 hours at room temperature followed by post curing for 4 hours at 80°C)
POST CURING REQUIREMENTS:
Satisfactory laminates for many applications can be made by curing the laminate at ambient temperatures. However for achieving optimum properties the laminate should be post cured for a period of 4 hours at 80°C. The post curing is most effective when carried out immediately after the 24 hours of ambient temperature cure.
STORAGE & HANDLING:
Should be stored in closed containers in cool conditions away from direct sunlight. Resins exposed to direct sunlight may lead to premature gelation even in the absence of a catalyst. Shelf life of resin @ 25°C about 6 months from the date of manufacturing. Most of our resins contain styrene monomer and are classified as highly flammable liquids. Working areas should be well ventilated since styrene has a threshold value of 1000 ppm in normal working atmosphere. It is also an eye and skin irritant. Hence, goggies and gloves are recommended while handling our resins.
CAUTION:
Pliogrip Q 8013 should never be mixed with Pliogrip S 1021, as this would cause explosion. The Pliogrip S 1021 should be blended into the resin first. The Pliogrip Q 8013 should be added just before use.
