Hot Curing Casting Epoxy System
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
PLIOGRIP EPOXY RESIN PER 205 is an unmodified liquid epoxy resin of medium viscosity that can be used with an aromatic amine hardener PH 972 for casting applications. PLiOGRIP PH 972 is a solid aromatic amine hardener. The castings made from this system are characterized by good heat resistance and good mechanical and electrical properties. This system gives a 'short pot life and fast cured at normal ambient temperatures. Products made from this system can be subjected to working temperature of 130 ' C. Silica flour to the extent of 200 phr may be added to the resin, hardener mix to minimize shrinkage and exotherm. Addition of silica is advantageous from the point of view of minimizing interfacial stresses between casting and the insert
